I grew up eating Chick-fil-A on our weekend trips to the mall with my family as a kid. I enjoyed the nuggets and it was always a treat to get a milkshake. Even then, I noticed that the service and quality of food was awesome. It wasn't until I got older that I came to understand the motivation and inspiration of the people behind it all. I wanted to be a part of an organization that aims to serve and meet the needs of guests, team members, and the community.
What do you like most about working at Chick-fil-A?
I love the opportunity that I have to impact the lives of young people. I had a great mentor as a young man that taught me many life lessons and challenged me to live up to my core values. I feel particularly led to pay that forward and being an Operator gives me an unique vantage point to do so. I’m especially inspired by the life of our founder, S. Truett Cathy, who made it his mission to impact young people. His example sets the bar and I strive to follow in his footsteps.
Why did you choose Houston?
That's an easy one. I am native Houstonian. I love my city and the opportunity to have a business here is amazing. I’m very grateful and fortunate to be here.
What do you see in your future as an operator?
I am very optimistic about my future as an Operator. My goal is to continue to serve our customers, take care of our team members and inspire our community to take care of each other in an exceptional way. This goal keeps me energized to continue to develop myself and my team. I’m only as good as the people around me, so I will continue to help coach and encourage them to be all they can be.
Tell us about your family!
I am blessed with a beautiful wife, Tia, of 10 years. She is a superbly talented interior designer and entrepreneur. She is the rock of our family and I’m glad to be doing life with her. We have two amazing daughters who keep us laughing and busy. Kaitlyn Diane is a 6-year old who loves acting, swimming, reading, and playing dress-up. Karrington Claire is a 2-year old who is learning new words and surprises us every day with her development. And then there’s Lance, our 7-year old family dog. He’s a schnauzer who barks a lot but we love him anyways.
